Since 2002, the New Albany Community Foundation has presented renowned lecturers to the community and to area students. From Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and historians to a former Secretary of State, a former Prime Minister and two United States Presidents, the Foundation remains committed to supporting lifelong learning opportunities in New Albany for adults and students alike. Two former U.S. secretaries of defense, Robert Gates and Leon Panetta, headlined the annual Remarkable Evening which is held annually at the residence of Leslie and Abigail Wexner in New Albany.

Promoting lifelong learning in New Albany since 2014, the Jefferson Series brings speakers of national and international renown to the McCoy Center to speak on major topics with unmatched insight and expertise. The series, coordinated by the New Albany Community Foundation, has brought such speakers as neurosurgeon and CNN analyst Dr. Sanjay Gupta, former CIA director Gen.
