Cherie Nelson, Executive Director

Cherie assumed her role as Executive Director for the New Albany Chamber of Commerce in 2014. She has lived in New Albany since 1996 with her son Conner and husband Jim, a Delta Air Line Captain and former Navy pilot. She is past-president of the New Albany Women’s Network; has served on many area boards and committees including the New Albany Community Foundation; the Columbus Metropolitan Celebration of Learning Committee; and the New Albany Chamber Human Resources Council. Prior positions include Marketing Director for New Albany Realty and Business Development Manager for Kelly Services. Cherie holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.

Tracy McVey, Membership Coordinator

Tracy joined the New Albany Chamber of Commerce in March of 2015 as the Membership Coordinator. She brings a variety of essential skills and experience with her including event planning, administrative, accounting, database management; and prior chamber of commerce experience. Tracy’s passion for enriching the membership experience for everyone involved is contagious! Often the first person chamber members and visitors interact with, Tracy is on the front line everyday answering member questions and directing visitor inquires. She is originally from Heath, Ohio and resides in Westerville.

Teresa Archer, Special Events Coordinator 

Teresa joined the New Albany Chamber of Commerce in 2015.  She has been an engaged and involved New Albany resident for 23 years.  Her husband, John is a business owner in the outdoor & water sports manufacturing industry.  Their son, Jack is a junior at the University of Alabama.  Roll Tide!  Their daughter, Maggie will be attending Washington University in St. Louis in the fall.  A Registered Nurse, Teresa has held managerial positions in the ICU; for a Medical Flight Team and a Clinical Research Team with Boston Scientific.  She holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Teresa has served as a volunteer for many local charities and their fundraising events.  Currently, she volunteers as a triage nurse for Helping Hands Free Clinic and a mentor for LifeTown.
