Overview
Leadership New Albany is a community leadership development program offered by the New Albany Chamber of Commerce for both emerging and established leaders. This eight-month program (January-August) takes participants on a journey to deepen their knowledge of New Albany’s past and present while gaining a better understanding of the city's business, economic, civic and government landscape. In addition to community exploration, the program includes a strong leadership development component designed to help participants grow both personally and professionally.  Local leaders share their expertise through presentations, interactive sessions, panel discussions and behind-the-scenes tours.

Criteria
Leadership New Albany is designed for leaders who want to become more engaged in the community while growing personally and professionally through collaboration and relationship building.  The ideal candidate is typically a mid- to senior-level professional with demonstrated career achievement and community involvement who is committed to investing time and energy required to fully participate in the experience.

Commitment
Participants should be prepared to fully engage in the program through consistent attendance and active participation. Because the experience depends on the involvement of the entire class, participants and their employers must commit the necessary time to attend the monthly full-day sessions.  To graduate, participants may not miss more than one session.
Participation in the program also requires a non-refundable tuition of $1,600, due upon acceptance.  Continued enrollment is contingent upon the participant's employer maintaining Chamber membership in good standing and the participant's continued employment with that member.
