Delta Awards

The New Albany Chamber of Commerce annually honors businesses and community leaders for their significant role in driving community and economic growth and excellence. To be considered for a Delta Award, the organization or person must be setting the standard for excellence and innovation with their business practices and community involvement.

Delta Award categories include Outstanding Small Business, Outstanding Medium Business, Outstanding Large Business, Outstanding Business Leader, Outstanding Citizen, and Outstanding Young Professional. Delta Award Categories

Outstanding Small Business: Presented to a New Albany business with revenues under $1 million that can report outstanding contributions to their employees and the community during the past year. The company has been a longtime advocate for the community and has a longstanding reputation for above-and-beyond corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. Special consideration will be given to applicants that demonstrate collaboration with other businesses, non-profits or government in their CSR efforts. This award recognizes excellence in CSR, particularly as it relates to New Albany.

Outstanding Medium Business: Same criteria as above but with reported revenues of between $1 million and $100 million.

Outstanding Large Business: Same criteria as above but with reported revenues of more than $100 million.

Outstanding Business Leader: This individual is a leader in a flourishing business in New Albany and demonstrates integrity, embraces innovation and recognizes contributions of others to the organization’s success. This leader fosters collaboration and engages support for projects that create opportunity and prosperity.

Outstanding Citizen: Nominee must be a living person and must have been a resident of Franklin County or the City of New Albany sometime during 2015. Nominee must have made contributions or accomplishments, either personally or professionally, benefiting the entire city. Contributions of prior years and the immediate past year will be considered. All citizens, except those who have received the award in previous years, are eligible for consideration. Nominations for groups will not be considered.

Outstanding Young Professional: Nominee demonstrates service and involvement in the New Albany Young Professionals (NAYP); takes initiative in seeking and fulfilling leadership roles throughout the community; professionalism in their field of work; conveys vision and passion to mentor and leads others.
