CHAMBER COMMITTEES

Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee's mission is to welcome, inform, and engage new and prospective members of the New Albany Chamber of Commerce. Ambassadors serve as an extension of the Chamber staff, ensuring that all members feel connected, informed about benefits, and equipped to get involved. Volunteers also assist with New Member Orientations (Chamber 101), Ribbon Cuttings, and other Chamber events to welcome and connect the business community.
Programming Committee
Guided by member feedback, the Programming Committee supports the Chamber in strategic event planning, including researching, vetting, and recommending event topics, speakers, workshops and facilitators. The goal is to offer fresh, relevant high-quality programming that adds value to members.
Taste of New Albany Committee
This committee plans and executes Taste of New Albany, the Chamber’s signature food and beverage event. Members collaborate with local restaurants, sponsors, and vendors to create an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of New Albany’s culinary scene while supporting the Chamber’s mission.
Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee champions the interests of the business community by actively monitoring and engaging with legislative issues at the local, state, and federal levels. The committee builds and maintains strong relationships with elected officials to ensure the voice of New Albany businesses is heard and represented. The committee coordinates key initiatives such as Candidate Forums, the Washington, D.C. Fly-In, and other legislative events that connect members with policymakers and elevate the area’s business priorities.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is responsible for vetting candidates for the Chamber’s Board of Trustees. This group also reviews nominations for the annual Delta Awards and recommends a slate for the Board of Trustees to vote upon.
Leadership New Albany Committee
The Leadership New Albany Committee oversees the Chamber’s Leadership New Albany program, an eight-month leadership development initiative. This committee continuously enhances program curriculum and participates in the class selection process. Members, typically graduates of the program, work to ensure participants gain a deep understanding of New Albany’s history, business landscape, and civic ecosystem.
